By the end of the day, I can feel it. I’ve grown tired of my makeup just as it’s grown tired of me.

First Impressions of the Juno Clean 10 Cleansing Balm
Up until now, I’d stuck with cleanser bars and foaming cleansers. They seemed the most common.
Every night, I’d begin my routine with cleansing wipes to remove my makeup. Typically, this required 2 wipes.
Next, I’d wash my face with a bar or foaming cleanser. Then, if any traces of makeup remain, I’d go over my face one more time with micellar water.
Honestly, I was not satisfied with how extensive this felt. And, as someone who strives for a sustainable lifestyle, makeup wipes were a short-term solution. As you can imagine, it’s all-too-easy to generate hundreds of makeup wipes to waste… in a matter of months.
So when I heard about the Juno 10 Cleansing Balm, I was intrigued. A balm that removes makeup, cleanses, and moisturizes? It sounded like a total timesaver. Spoiler alert: It is!
Right away, I appreciated the minimalist, aesthetically pleasing packaging. Something about the tan color reminds me of the Golden Coast, which is certainly fitting since that’s where Juno & Co is based.

How to Use the Juno and Co Cleansing Balm
- Start with your face as-is. No need to remove makeup or sunscreen.
- Use the spatula to scoop a small amount of balm into your fingertips (A little goes a long way!)
- Rub the balm between your fingertips to warm it up.
- After a few seconds, the balm will warm into an oil.
- Gently rub the oil around your face (I recommend doing this for at least 5 minutes)
- Rinse oil, makeup, & dirt off using warm water.
- Pat dry.
- Repeat 1-2 times a day.
Review of the Juno Clean 10 Cleansing Balm
Honestly, when I first saw the balm I was a slightly intimated. Would it be hard to use? Would it really remove all my makeup, even mascara?!
Thankfully, my expectations were EXCEEDED during my first use.
Before even trying it, I loved the light citrus fragrance from California tangerines — it’s a dream.
While applying, the spatula made scooping the balm simple.
Then, I was very surprised at how quickly (basically instantly) the balm turned into a rich, hydrating oil in my hands.
When I was really speechless, however, was when my makeup melted off. Like, foundation, eyeshadow, and even mascara gone after rinsing.
And although I’d still be careful around your eyes, I found this cleanser to be super gentle on my sensitive skin. Never did I imagine removing mascara while washing my face!!
Look at that, I guess I’ve found my long-term solution for removing makeup sustainably. Bye bye makeup wipes.
After cleansing, my face was significantly softer to the touch. To amuse me, my partner kindly cleansed his face too — and his first reaction was how soft his skin was!
Afterwards, I continued with the rest of my skincare routine. However, since the Juno Clean 10 Cleansing Balm moisturized so deeply I opted for a lightweight moisturizer. Otherwise, I typically opt for an oil-based moisturizer at night.
